What do 12,000 and 14,000 BTU mean?
They are the nominal capacities of the two models, as stated in the manufacturer’s quotation: 12,000 BTU, about 3.5 kW, for Freath One 12, and 14,000 BTU for Freath One 14. This is not the electrical input. Our running-cost calculator uses electricity consumption and your tariff separately.
Does heat have to go outside?
Yes. A portable air conditioner must reject heat outdoors to cool a room continuously. Plan the window connection and follow the exact variant’s manual for dimensions and clearances.
What is this page based on?
