A noise number needs context
Fans and compressors make different kinds of sound. A dB(A) figure alone is not enough: is it sound power or sound pressure, at what distance, and at which operating setting? Figures from different test methods should not be compared directly.
Night mode does not mean silent
A night mode may lower fan speed or change the temperature setting. Cooling output can change too. Check whether the quoted measurement includes an active compressor. “Ultra quiet” is a development target for FREATH ONE; no measured sound level is published here.
Position the unit carefully
Use a stable floor and keep the clearances specified in the manual. Avoid contact between the hose or casing and furniture that could vibrate. Never cover air openings to muffle the sound. Trying a unit in your actual bedroom is more informative than a broad marketing claim.
Prepare the bedroom earlier
Cooling before bedtime and reducing solar gain may lower the need for full output while you sleep. The effect depends on stored heat, insulation and outdoor temperature.
